Where do I find legitimate travel suppliers?

Group Travel Organizations

A Travel Agency – offers full range of services and work on commission basis.

A Tour Operator – provides an all-inclusive group tour package program. You just add your mark-up to their net price and your tour package is ready to go.

Destination Marketing Organization – Generally works at a state or regional level to help you gather the information you need. Some DMO’s book groups and others do not.

Booking Direct – speaking directly with the supply source such as hotels, attractions and restaurants.

How Can I make Money?

There are two ways you can make money on group travel:

  • You will be paid a commission. Usually when working with a travel agency. You will work with net price (no commission) and you will mark up the net price with the amount of profit you want to make – between 10 – 15%. Usually when working with a tour operator or direct with suppliers.
